Global Fintech Regulation: Current Status and Future Improvements Bulls Hall, 3F, KOFIA Bldg.
  • Time 10:00~12:00
  • Host Financial Services Commission, Korea Capital Market Institute, Fintech Center Korea
  • Support Financial Supervisory Service
Digital innovation is bringing us a fundamental change in every aspect of human society, and the financial industry is no exception to this. The term fintech, coined by combining financial and technology, directly represents the very change.

However, Korea’s laws and regulations have deterred fintech development in Korea, raising the need for deregulation. In line with this, policy authorities are making multi-faceted efforts with diverse proposals for improvements. During the course of deregulation, prudence is a must to ensure consumer protection and system stability.

Under the circumstances, KCMI joins hands with the FSC and Fintech Center Korea to facilitate and improve Korea’s regulatory environment towards a more developed fintech industry. Finally, we ask all of you interested in fintech development to join the seminar and put forth your opinion.
