Drivers of the Korean Economy-The Roles of Finance and Capital Market Grand Ballroom, 1F, The Westin Chosun Hotel
  • Time 09:00~17:00
Countries around the world are implementing measures to overcome the economic crisis and achieve sustainable economic growth. Korea is also searching for new economic drivers because of rising welfare demand, low-growth, and population aging. Together with the government, industry, academia, and global think tanks, Korea Capital Market Institute is doing its utmost to address the imminent challenges by devising policy that supports sustainable economic growth and the development of the financial industry and capital markets.
Based on our research in this area, KCMI will hold its 16th anniversary international conference titled “Drivers of the Korean Economy - The Roles of Finance and Capital Market.” This event will be about how Korea can capitalize on the financial industry and capital markets - both of which recently emerged as drivers for the Creative Economy - for the sake of the development of Korea’s economy. Famous scholars and experts in this area will attend the conference to discuss the role of finance and capital markets as the primary economic driver, rather than a supplementary instrument, to finance the real economy. We will also discuss how to effectively expand welfare with minimum tax increases through the cases of other nations like the US and UK.
This conference is organized to help Korea find new economic growth fuelled by finance and capital markets. We look forward to seeing you there and ask for your active participation at the event.
